Update – 2009 Mission to Indonesia

February 18, 2010

Further to our last mailing in the Fall of  2009, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify some discrepancies found within our brochure referring to our medical team’s mission to Indonesia.

On November 16, 2009 Operation Rainbow Canada sent a medical team to Indonesia to perform life altering operations. Prior to leaving for Indonesia, we had much communication with the host country and the host country’s medical directors confirming the details of this mission. Upon arrival in Indonesia, the medical team was turned away and prevented from conducting any medical procedures. This was the first time in its twelve year history in which Operation Rainbow Canada has every experienced this and failed to complete a mission.

The brochure included with our last mailing referencing the mission to Indonesia was prepared prior to the mission taking place. Through inadvertence, the brochure was not withdrawn from the mailing following the unfortunate change in circumstances in Indonesia and for this we sincerely apologize. All funds raised for this mission were used for the intended purpose of sending a medical team to the site.

Operation Rainbow Canada has learned from these unfortunate circumstances and have taken precautions to ensure that such an error does not occur in the future. We continue our commitment of offering our medical services to the children of the world.

Sincerely,

Operation Rainbow Canada

per:  Dr. Kimit Rai,

Chairman of the Board
